A base tikka will run 500-600. ConclusionCouldn't say one shoots better than the other. I'd suspect with the heavier barrel the CTR would do better for longer strings of fire vs the Lite as the barrel gets hotter. Haven't tested that, so just a theory. Currently I have a Ruger American in 6.5 Creedmoore as my hunting rifle and it works fine. My only major gripe like many before me is the stock. Now that Magpul has a hunter version out finally, this would fix the issue, but at 3 pounds it seemingly would make the rifle a bit on the heavy side for lugging around in the mountains. .
